Tonkatsu


Noelle's Notes: Who wants to cook on a hot summer night? LOL, not me. I still cooked because my husband and son love homemade meals. Tonight's meal was relatively simple. I was shopping at H Mart today in San Jose. They had an amazing selection of meats. I decided then to make Tonkatsu.


Tonkatsu is a breaded pork cutlet served in Japanese restaurants. Its usually served with a sweet sauce drizzled on top but no one in my family of three likes the sweet sauce so I didn't make it. In keeping life simple on a hot summer night I made a simple cucumber salad on the side (Persian cucumbers I picked up at H Mart). I also used a simple instant Miso soup packet.
